The McGill University Health Centre – Royal Victoria Hospital is a high-volume tertiary care center that provides comprehensive management of vascular diseases through an integrated clinical and vascular laboratory practice. In 2015, the Royal Victoria Hospital relocated to the newly built Glen Complex, which houses advanced cardiac, pediatric, transplant, and oncologic surgery programs. The facility also features a hybrid operating room dedicated to the Division of Vascular Surgery.

Residents and medical students rotating at this site gain exposure to a wide range of common vascular conditions and work collaboratively with other subspecialties in the management of complex and rare vascular pathologies. Training opportunities include advanced endovascular aortic interventions, such as arch procedures, as well as open thoracoabdominal aortic surgery. In addition, the MUHC vascular team provides consultations and manages vascular trauma at the Montreal General Hospital, a Level I trauma center in Montreal.

The Jewish General Hospital is a 600+ bed tertiary care center that provides vascular surgery services to patients in west-central Montreal and across a broad geographic region outside the city. The hospital features a hybrid operating room dedicated to vascular surgery, as well as a vascular laboratory integrated with its outpatient clinics. In addition, the Division of Vascular Surgery offers a designated endovascular simulation room for medical students and residents to use throughout their rotation.

Trainees at this center are exposed to a high volume of advanced peripheral and aortic procedures, both open and endovascular. The Jewish General Hospital has also been a leader in surgical innovation, adopting new technologies such as intravascular ultrasound and shockwave therapy.
